Probably not a good idea to have that much weight on the rear door.

    G'day ThomasWatson,

I have a 285/75R16 Dick Cepek FC-II on a 2001 GU Patrol, on the original rim and it fits ok, however, you need to adjust the bracket on the door, (remove the wheel and look internally to where the bracket bolts to the door, undo and remove the 4 x 17mm nuts and lift the bracket up to the next bolt patten, this allows the 33 to fit without rubbing on the bar!)

PS, MudRunner notice when i was down in Victoria at Christmas that my Tyre was rubbing on the bar and not allowing the door to shut properly and advised me how to fix it.

    Regards,

    RLI

I removed the front flaps, I had about a 10mm gap between tyre and flap on a locked wheel.

    G'evening ThomasWatson,

On the GU 4.2 turbo diesel wagons from 1999 to 2006 they will fit OK.There is plenty of room under there if you have a 2inch lift.

PS, however, I do not know about the 3lt Patrols.

    G'day mate,

I did not have to remove my mudflaps, my Patrol is 2001 GU 4.2 turbo diesel wagon, as previously advised i do not know if the same applies for the 3lt Patrols.
