My girlfriend only runs a 2" body lift on her ute with 35's and it out flexs most coil patrols and the Tyres don't touch. The rear on a wagon is a little different, as the wheel is pushed into the guard it is pushed rearward and will mostly touch with 35's so it may need a trim. Also long arms lessen the effect of rear steer when you start to chase better suspension travel. Long arms really are that good (for a bolt on application).
I had to beat the back of my front guard in with my 4 inch lift and if I had a 3 inch lift it would hit at the front of the guard on full up travel, and the leafs are going to move on a different axis too.

There is only a couple of degrees difference in the amount of rear steer, between long and short arms
