The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

They will fit and will be better than anything else on the market however that also means they're lot harder to get. You will need new set of bolts (shorter) as well as shim/spacers to get right clearance.
Honestly if you can find genuine GQ second hand hubs which are cheaper than any aftermarket new ones than let us know where from.
Above applies to manual hubs only, auto units are straight fit.

    Cheers

What he said mate. I would expect you to get the bolts with the hubs though and the egg ring spacer must be part of the deal.

Yes they would be considered an upgrade. If yours are auto hubs and you can find auto hubs off a GQ then they are identical. Expect to pay $150 to $200 for GQ manual hubs

dune mad patrol just wondering how your conversion went? i am looking at doing the same thing as i have been advised that auto hubs plus an air locker is bad news, i have sourced a set of gq manual hubs for 100 bucks. did they bolt straight in? what is this egg ring spacer and shims i am hearing about, or are those parts all included with a gq hub?

They should included with the hubs when you buy them mate, make sure the seller includes everything then they are a straight bolt up. $100 is a good price.
