Hi all here's a rear awning at a reasonable price, combine with your side awning,
just buy shade sail and stitch it up to fill in the gap from side to rear awning

04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
Hey threedogs,
I purchased a similar type of rear awning from www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/
On special a couple of weeks ago for $135....yes, $135.
Great Quality, but made to fit on the side of you 4wd, so to fit to rear had to fabricate some brackets.
Not too difficult, just had to think about it a while.
Cheers

Yeah not too hard to fashion some brackets.
I made my roof rack and missed welding heaps of things on it before I powder coated it.
Like shovel and a hi-lift jack holder, oh well

I have a side and rear awning on the GUIV. Great combo. Don't use the back as much as he side but it's so simple that I can pull it out to make some lunch in the shade or just to out the fridge in the shade whole parked up.
Works great in the rain and the snow for that same thing too!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I wouldn't mind a rear awning but only want something to come out just past the doors and have no poles.
just bought one of those ...will be interesting to see how good it is
there is no reason i dont think why you could not drop the poles down and then angle both back towards the car and support on the rear step. they are adjustable in length and then they'd be out of your way. Not really that big a deal though to be honest. they dont get in the way at all.
