Hey spuddly, what exactly don't you get?
how to upload them?
If you are taking videos then use the app to record your videos as it will do it all for you. (Location of the video, put in the title and details and just press upload either on the spot or wait until you get home on WIFI). That's the easiest way moving forward.
For existing videos that have not been recorded on the app then you have two options...
http://you4wd.com/upload/
The link above is the desktop version of uploading existing videos on your computer. Just sign in with your Google/YouTube account and follow the steps shown on the page.
You have to manually tell the site where the video was taken which can be difficult to know thats why I developed the apps which do it all for you.
You can either enter the coordinates (longitude and latitude) of where it was taken or move the placemark onto the spot where it was taken.
I would prefer people to use the apps as it can be hard to pin point on a map and I don't want the site to be filled with incorrect positions.
Is that what you were lost with mate?

Not 100% sure what you're not sure about LOL, but...... Think of it as 4x4earth but videos instead of just tracks .
My understanding is Andy is cataloging videos onto a map with geo references so when one wants to go for a wheel they can look at the track on the map and see what other videos people have uploaded.
Its also simple when you take vids.... take a vid of a track somewhere in the world, you can just click upload on the app(easiest way) and it will place that vid with reference(coordinates) to the map
I hope that is right..LOL
I have had a quick look at this a while ago and thought it would be a winner... NOW IT IS!!
Well done Andy...you prick!

I don't follow you Garry, Aren't seasonal closures just that, so if I upload a video of a track that has seasonal closures doesn't mean I was on it when it was closed. As far as I know there is no date reference to videos uploaded via the you4wd app so no one in authority could use You4wd.com's website as evidence to help close tracks.
Andy does the You4wd.com app have any reference 2 dates that are displayed on the website???
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time

I got red dust in my veins.
