That is a serious camp oven TD. Nothing beats good heavy cast iron for cooking on the camp fire I reckon.

As for the Thousand Island dressing on a roast, interesting. Sounds like it might have originated after consumption of alcohol, and lack of options...
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.

@ BK its not cast iron the lid and base are an off cut from laser cutters for bead lock rims
and the pot itself is 16" mains water pipe 3/8th thick. Cooks well as you cant get it hot enough to burn,
Last roast was near on perfect with no coals on top {ncot}, just re heated lid when inspecting procedings.
Its home made and cooks a treat if not a tad heavy, just rotate 180 every 1/2 hour

Top notch TD. I love my camp oven roasts. Got to be the best way of doing them.

Pizza base was homemade by Jess, Neil's wife and put together by his kids...........................all that Neil did was burn himself several times while cooking it, under the close supervision of Jess
    Yes it was great
