    Window Tinting - 3M Crystalline 70%

Now, before I go on, I am in no way affiliated with any window tinting mobs or 3M, but I recently had the old tint ripped off and this stuff put on the truck and have been blown away by how good it is. I had a darker (non-legal Formula 1 tint) on my previous truck and the 3M Crystalline stuff blows it away.

Apparently over 200 nano-tech layers that are rated at over 1500 SPF factor and 99.9% UV everything. None of that means anything unless you notice a difference though and I just did a 3300klm trip with wifey and kids through Western Qld in 41 degrees of heat and not a single complaint from any of them about getting any sunburn on the arms etc.

Cannot fault the stuff, except for the price. Expect to pay nearly double. I got lucky as it was the first use of this stuff that the bloke who put it on had, so I got a cost price install.

Still, I am more than impressed and felt it was worth sharing. Especially worth checking out if you are going to do a trip around Oz or plan to have your vehicle for a long time. The investment might be worth it.

Good info mate. I'm sure regardless of tint though, you can't get sunburnt through auto windows!

Sorry to disagree with you NP99 but spending 120k plus a yr on the road I can vouch that you can get burnt but not as bad.

Bit hard to see any difference between tints but here ya go. A 'before' shot and two 'after' shots...

You are probably right, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Kids whinging about being hot from sun through the windows etc.... It is noticeably cooler IMHO.
