love the build up gets the Barra out of there holes where they hide ........looking forward to the wet so I can get out and get the truck dirty and have a ball chasing the barra on the flood planes
I really wanna catch a barra, not for me but for my dad that passed away before we could organise a trip after he retires.
6 weeks after he retired he died.

Nice edible sized Threadfin Salmon caught this morning on light tackle. Heaps of fun, and I know what I'll be having for dinner tonight!!

Yeah I've crossed Barra off my list, caught one on the Wenloc River in 83
about 750mm long, lure was black/silver 100mm long job.
But dying to get back up the top end what a magic spot, lots of great memories.
Plus Dad served there in WW2, at the 40 mile mark

Are you sure you've crossed it off?? A lot of folks aren't finished with Barra until they get the magic meterey - something which I'm yet to achieve.....
