Just wanted to clear the air on this. We are helping out Shaun with his roof rack, but I wanted to make it clear that we had come to what we thought was an agreement a number of times before this final outcome, each time for it to suddenly become an issue again.
We received the first contact from Shaun via email on Wednesday 2nd at 9:36pm, the first thing we did once Melbourne opened was passed it onto the Perth branch, who opened a few hours later. As soon as Perth opened our branch manager called Shaun and they agreed for him to come to our Branch and have us remove the rack and clean the car as well as dry the roof rack and seal the holes with sikaflex and replace the grommets. We offered him a work light for his inconvenience of
his time that is worth $100.00 he was happy with this arrangement.
We thought the matter was concluded, but then he posted this across multiple forums (x4 at current count) and on our FB page.
At this point our branch manager contacted him again via Phone and offered to fix the problem immediately himself (as the workshop was already booked out), he was happy to come down to the branch and we even offered to work on it on Saturday (when we are normally closed).
We've then had to follow up again after his issue with driving to our branch, and this time come to an agreement to have our branch manager drive out to him and provide a new rack and take back the one he currently has. From our knowledge he is happy with this final resolution.
I just wanted to make it clear we have gone above and beyond to try and offer solutions multiple times. It is very rare for a rack to have this occur and would only happen if the bungs that get placed in the holes were not to be fitted, allowing water ingress into the rack tubing.
As everyone knows there is always two sides to every story, I just wanted everyone to be clear on our side of it.
Regards,
Matt

Thanks for getting back to the forum Matt and it looks you guys have made a decent effort to rectify the issue and have explained everything to us.
I am closing this thread now similar to the other thread we closed from another well known supplier the other month as both stories have been told and I hope everyone is happy with the outcome.
