Does it feel like it cuts out ever so briefly or is it a straight up backfire? If it is cutting out it maybe the coil packs or the crank angle sensor

yep id say its the coil pack or the crank angle sensor. Try the coil packs first as they are cheaper. I got a genuine crank angle sensor from holden (for my vs calais) for a bit over 100 bucks from memory.

I have owned both at the same time. The gu is much nicer vehicle while still being just as capable, the GQ in my situation was a toy and I think they are very good for that. As I haven't seen any action shots toddie a gu would be find for youMaybe one day Rodney I may just downgradelol.
My mate just told me he is planning to spell his patrol.....grrrrr. I took me a year and a half to convince him to buy one!
