The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

Holy chit!!! What an awesome job. Wish my Patrol wasn't my daily driver because I would be doing the exactly the same. When I bought the car I spent days cleaning out the birds nest of wires. Now. Theres about ten birds nests....I need to remove everything I have put in and start again, and together.
Well done.
Have you tried the compressor yet? I'm wondering how loud it'll be??
Cheers

I have the same compressor. They are a bit noisy but heat is a bigger issue. Even sitting on the ground they generate a lot of heat. If I were to mount that in a box I would be installing a couple of 120mm fans to keep the temps down. As I noticed mine has a thermal cut out. So when it gets hot, it stops.
Mate I don't have an issue with heat, I pulled the compressor apart and rewired it. 1.2m of stainless braided line absorbs the heat plus the fittings. Its not overly loud but a have a rubber base and 4x 10x1.25 bolts plus nylocks . I ran it non stop over the weekend and pump up three 4x4's with tyres deflayted from the dunes.
