Not scary at all mate. You will be fine. Ask any questions you have and someone will be about to help you for sure. Nothing hard though mate.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Oil, filters, brake adjust, a squirt here and there with the grease gun, check and top up fluids.
Takes time but not that difficult as MR says whole heap here waiting if you get stuck.

got my last service done by mechanic as under warranty still,i do every five and let mechanic do every ten or so I thought didn't rotate air filter didn't clean maf sensor 2 grease nipples on front drive shaft not greased as nipples needed turning 20 degrees to be able to get gun nossel in there. purposefully done by myself to check quality of mechanic . asked him to replace fuel filter as I work bush constantly naaa mate it was fine how could he tell its a bloody sealed unit. I will now forego warranty and service the bloody thing myself . Oh yeah didn't take off rims to check brakes . No wonder we don't trust these so called tradesmen they think we are all idiots . not all mechanics are the same though . just the good ones are few and far between

Well half way through service doing all of the good stuff.

And then jack broke, not looking I accidentally used the jack for my other car.

Glad I pulled intake manifold completely blocked only the size of a 20cent piece gap for air to enter.

Holy Shizuoka I think the grenade was close to dropping its pin.
