It was funny when they handed me the papers they said put 1and 2 above the line or mark 1 to 83 below, I just lalaughed and accidently let out a big farrk that lol. I'm pretty sure the old bity soiled herself at that moment
Update on the insurance thing... DGA have sort of come to the party, covered for market value plus 25%
Still looking though but that's the best I can find at the moment
For an extra $20 per month, TCIS will cover me for market value + $5000 worth of accessories. Market value is at $10,100
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!
Check out my Toy --> MudRunnerTD's GQ From the Ground Up
The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
I would like to be covered for a little bit more though, but I don't think it will happen. They have lots of extras you can claim like camping gear, spare parts carried, personal effects etc.....
Realistically they aren't worth that much. That's a pretty good deal Winnie. They sell for more privately due to demand of the drive train. You could cut that in half for a petrol variant. We are lucky that we can insure them for higher amounts compared to most cars of the same vintage.
