That's the first time I've loaded stuff onto YouTube should it take a long time?
Depends on your Internet connection but those videos I upload I started at about 9pm and they did not finish until about 7am

That seems extra long.. What is your internet like when loading a YouTube video? Do you have to wait for it to load all the time or does it normally play straight away?

I would think the upload should be a little quicker than 45mins for a 1 min video. What did you take the video on? It may be really high quality

It doesn't matter really how long the video is, its more the file size and if its high quality video the higher the file size will be, and I believe if your ISP has a lot of traffic it will also slow things down.

yeah there are a few things that make the file size bigger. Two being length and quality. But yeah different times of the day are busier so it would take longer in those times

Actually it sounds right to me. Took me about 20 mins to upload a 15 second video on adsl 1 too, so I'd say that's just the way it is Gary.
