Kris posted a link to a thing on how to make it using kerosene too... I think I'll just buy the additive and be done with it.

Make your own alpine diesel fellas . 2 stroke mineral oil -cheaper the better . mixed at 200 - 1 ratio . 90 litre tank, 450ml of oil . note - must be mineral oil only , just mixed with regular diesel and all is good .

Yeh I just went and bought some was only $30 to treat 130l. Will dig out all the camp gear out Tom and get it all ready. Do all the usual checks like oil, water and so on. When should I put the additive in once u fill up or when we get to camp.

I have just arrived now down at Pt.Lonsdale to do some work at the DSE in Forest tomorrow. I will be back home tomorrow night. I can't remember the brand too :/ But SCA had to order it in. If you want to find out what it was, ring SCA in Thomastown and ask for Chris. He got it for me.

Edit : Brain fart gone now... it was a lucas product called Extreme Cold temp treatment. All I need for the two tanks was a litre bottle and even that will do it three times.
