He is part of the problem not the solution. Khawaja is not up to it either.
Too many players have a crap technique and no patience to bat for a long time and accumulate rather than try and smash every other ball to the boundary.
Really pi$$ed off with that effort last night. Rodgers and Warner laid a good foundation and then in the face of some very good bowling the rest of the order rolled over. Big girls blouses they are.
Batting looses test matches and for the third time this series England has shown us that it is still true.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Openers got you off to a great start, that collapse was like "England in the 90`s"

All they had to do was bat solidly and occupy the crease, you had plenty of time, fair enough,Broad balled well and there were some players who were dismissed by good balls, others gave their wicket away. You cannot score 8 an over every over in a test match.Somebody needed to dig in and stay there, nobody seemed capable of doing that. Bloody shambles to be honest.
It is now official, we are not quite so sh@t at cricket as we were! Rugby Union is a different matter.

would you care to look at hughes average before you say he is shit you will be shocked at how good it is and if given a proper run at it not only will he have his own permanent spot in the team and will retire with 10000 runs just go and check the stats

Well if a test average of 32 for a top order bat is demanding selection, I stand corrected.
I would also suggest his first class average of 44 is well, pretty average and he played most of the last couple of years on the batting friendly conditions in Adelaide.
His technique is ok at best and he is laughable against quality spin bowling.
He is just like all the other bat wafting clowns at the top of the order who have no patience to grind out a long innings.
In the 30 odd years I have been playing cricket I have seen many like him before.....they often get called flat track bullies.

all im saying is give him a go instead playing a test or two then dropping him and what players started their careers with 50 plus averages I have watched him bat closely I know who he has been coached by and he will achieve if given a proper chance
