Clunk, when you get a chance just pull the wheel and disc off and have a closer look, that way for sure your eliminating the seals

Its not that daunting mate, the rear discs pretty much fall off. You can remove the caliper and cradle in 1 piece with the pads still in there so you only remove 2 bolts or remove the caliper then cradle, up to you but i would recommend that you use Locktight super stud lock on the cradle bolts for added security when your assembling it.
I'll take a couple of pics pointing out which bolts i'm talking about tomorrow if you like ??
Edit: forgot to mention that the discs are hats so a bit of "gentle persuasion" with a hammer knocks them off and a lil bit of crc / wd40 around center helps aswell.

i just had a look at my pics and i have a selection of pics of taking the rear axle out of a GU but did not take pics of removing the calliper. 2 bolts Clunk and it will come right off mate. then as George stated the rear disk is floating and a couple of taps with a rubber mallet and you will be nursing it.
If you want the pics of taking the axle out then let me know mate. You'd only do that if you have a leaking inner axle seal bud.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
