    lift kits

    my 2002 gu 3lt turbo is in desperate need of new springs an shockies , I hav spoken to several different places regarding what type of 2inch lift kit is best suited to my vehickle an my style of driving,
    now i thought these suspention guys are ment to know what they are talking about,,,,, i am so confused,, one says only use foam shocks , another says only use gas, another says use a combination of both an one even said its illegal to put a 2inch lift kit on my vehickle cause of my 15inch 33 tyres but was happy to sell them to me just not fit them..funny fella.
    I do travel a fair way to an from work on tar seal but also spend alot time on bush tracks and lots of beach sand dune time , so that about sums wht i use my 4x4 for .. help me out please people, i dont mind spending reosonable money just dont know what to spend it on .
    cheers

    2" lift is legal in all states, try elsewhere, I'm happy with my 2"EFS set up,
    would choose different set up if doing more billy goat driving, but ATM my rig is set
    up as a tourer
    Mine is as soft as I can go with accessories fitted
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    Old Man Emu Nitro Charged Gas Shocks and OME springs in a 2" lift are Aussie made and the top of the pile. By comparison a foam shocks junk.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but running 33's as stated then putting a 2 inch lift would be putting him over the combined total legal lift

    Technically you are correct but you would have to be extremely unlucky to be booked for a 2" lift and 33's on a Patrol.

    Isn't it now within the new national guidelines now that you can run 33's and a 50mm lift without engineering?

    On qld you can run a 2" lift and 33"s on a patrol legally. Also I believe in nsw. Not sure about the other states.

    Cheers
