where to buy sheet metal in SA?

Does anyone know where you can buy sheet metal from in SA? I am looking at making a shelf off of the rear door to make a bench. Thanks for your help.

Any engineering work shop will sell you the desired size.
You want 316 stainless steel in 2mm for your shelf..

Thanks guys I will have a look into those places and see. I am still ready undecided if to use the sheet metal or some wood. It will be a folding shelf of the large rear door.

You will be surprised how cheap that some of the sheet metal shops can knock up a shelf for you.

Try a couple of places near you, and see how you go.

I have checked into the price of sheet steal happygtu I was very surprised when I was given some off cuts for nothing. When it's finished I will put some photos in the diy section
