Near enough. Coffin Bat Nt Park standing on a dune at Almonta beach looking towards Golden Island. Very rough bit of water around the reef out to the island.

What have you got for us?

Sure is, was in 2010 when it rained non stop for the first 4 months of the year.

There were detours to get across Eyre creek and to get to Birdsville.

What month did you go through?
I did the Madigan line in July 2010, took us 3 days to find a way past Eyre creek.
This photo is where we were planning to cross but the creek was about 1km wide.

That pic was taken on the 5/7/2010.

We went on to Birdsville that afternoon.

    Nice pic.

So was there some head scratching on trying to find a way through? I would imagine that it helped to make the trip memorable.

We got to Birdsville 16/7/2010, a couple of days later than we planned.
Was the best trip I have had so far, seeing the desert flooded is a once in a lifetime experience.

There were some detour signs in place, made it a lot easier.

You are right there TP, the wild flowers were incredible and the amount of water there was mind boggling.
