    fuel

Morning all , iv recently done an economy test on my 2002 gu,It worked out at 14.2 litres per 100klms , this was a fair test over 325klm trip on open road averaging speeds 110 to 115k. Is this around average for the 2002 ,I thought this was a bit heavy.

Not sure my 02 GU I was able to stretch both main and subtank to just over 1000km all highway driving trips of 180km at a time. And that was before I got my intercooler and MAF sensor fixed! As well as the fuel light was on for around 30-40km but didn't want to push anymore.

And to fill from empty it cost me close to $165-$170 dollars roughly.
Not sure how to work out the fuel per km thing

    Sporter,

This depends on your vehicle, size of tyres, accessories, driving style, etc.

It can be very subjective also, as a lot of people tend to underquote what they are actually using, by either not knowing how to calculate it properly, or not filling BOTH tanks to the same level before reading results.

Hey mate I got a 2004 3 L Auto and I get 12's around town and 11's to 12's on highway. These are pretty standard figures for 2.4 tonnes of weight. Slow down a bit to say a 100 to 105 kph and you'll use heaps less juice. Most of the fuel is used to push the air out of the way, and when you get a patrol over 100 it starts to really work hard and burn more. So slow down enjoy the view and save at the pump!!!

I'd suggest there is something wrong with your maths/calculator there. In any case once the bullbar, snorkel roof rack are fitted watch the fuel consumption going AWOL.
    Cheers
