Your rig is looking good, Cuppa. I just have just shown the pictures to my Missus, and asked if we could get one the like it. She said yes, but after the kids have moved out.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Start changing the basic parameters & this may no longer be the case. Not saying you're wrong, rather I'm inviting you to convince me as better fuel consumption/greater range is attractive.

Don't worry about giving it tickle up, it will handle it well.

Think of it this way Cuppa, my 89 GQ had a 3 inch exhaust, Safari Turbo Kit and android mod.....that was a long time ago. A long time to know if there are any problems.

I went all over Australia with that truck, and used to push it along up over 160 kph when i lived in the NT . ( Not for extended periods though, only for five or ten minutes at a time. There is no point going that fast in a Patrol )

Well an exhaust & a small tickle are looking more & more like a possibility & I certainly have no intention of moving back to England. Thanks everyone, this forum has provided me with much of the knowledge & motivation I've needed to get this far. And yes I am pleased with what I've done.

It really doesn't seem that long ago that I was asking whether I should buy this Patrol after I'd realised that buying the Troopy had been a mistake, but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.
I have even become comfortable with the fact that I'm not a 'hardcore' 4wd'er, but a 'tourer' & whilst having 4wd is important I don't feel any need to seek out 'gnarly stuff' for fun but am comfortable that we have a strong vehicle to get off the beaten track without falling to bits & which has the capability to get us through gnarly stuff if necessary.

Ps. What is an android mod?

Might have to do an economy run up to the Murray again, just waiting on how
Bob and Mego went. My BFF has finished his Reno, so later this month, having said that
this would of been a great weekend to get away weather wise, but I dont like sharing with Part time drivers.
So you up to defending your" Cod Cup" Cuppa ?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
