That grinding noise is still there but no where near as bad, I have started stripping the other cars front and am rebuilding it then will swap the whole thing over.
Still have to sort the central locking out and the clutch now has a shudder but that has happened before and seems to sort itself out? ?

I wonder if putting a hose in the bell housing, and washing it out is an option. Is asbestos an issue in the GQs?

Ok now I am starting to think it is coming from the rear.. my left shock has a dent in it and there seems to be a lot of backlash?

That'll probably be because the parts that were grinding have almost ground themselves away by now & the metal filings have mixed with the grease to act as a sort of 'cushioning' lubricant to what's left until the whole thing collapses.Originally Posted by Bloodyaussie
