The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Care should be taken as this is first rain for a long time, especially going down the big hill to the dam,
All the dust from over summer is now quicksand lying in the gutters.
going down, low/low, lock everything and take your time, has been known to spin around a 4x4 in the blink of an eye.
Other than that do bogholes if thats your thing, can never get sick of rebuild threads lol.
Most of the really good tracks have been blocked with felled trees by the powers that be, but great area to learn, plus close to Melb as well
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

We camped at the bottom of that track to the dam last time. I am not sure that track should even be attempted today! That will be Slick and Fast without wheel ruts for safety.

Nah was in contact last night , not worth going in my condition, wont be much longer now though.
Used to go every weekend, now its fishing 5-6 times a year. First thing in morning fine, then just waiting game for back to fail usually 9.30 ish doing nothing.
So 4x4ing would make it fail earlier, not fun driving at that stage, No dramas been going that area since mid 70s on motorbikes

I should have looked at this yesterday lol.

Darren i might be eager to get into it but from the VERY stupid things i have done in the past help me have calm nerves and help me asses my current situation and maneuver accordingly , do you know what i mean ?
