    Silvertop gq engine need help

    Hey guys i have a silvertop engine and have been noticing over the past few weeks that the rocket cover is getting covered in black film, today i was doing a oil and filter change when i noticed whats the cause it looks like a recerulation valve or something along those lines to me could be completly wrong, but it looks like it has blown a hose of, i took some pictures with my phone but its not letting me upload them, its the circle part ontop of the rocker clover closest to the firewall

    May need to fit a catch can and/or block EGR

    It's a silver top... There is no egr and if it is leaking from there a catch can is going to do squat.
    That's the crank case vent. It could be partially blocked with gunk and that is the possibly the reason the seal/gasket is weeping.

    No worries mate thanks for the reply, so its only meant to have the one hose connected to it even though there is two oulets?

    Why is there a second outlet? Is the second one just open?

    Can you take another pic from the other side.

    That hose in the first pic should be on that barb. Also as Ben-e said it might be worth giving it a good clean before reconnecting.

    Have a look at the top view photo Matt...very strange.

    Take another photo from the other side mate.

    Lol....I thought there were two barbs coming out but looks like the hose isn't connected.
