Who makes these winches. A local bloke in the 4x4 club sells them. He swears by them, but he sorta has to hay..

Also just be weary lifetime guarantee.. read the fine print

was trolling the net for some comparisons, this seemed to be a good article given the fact it seemed pretty unbiased and thorough to the point of breaking them and submerging them.

Runva and kingone winches are made in china from my understanding from guys in the Indusrty and research one winches I have done.

Both companies are dedicated to all winches.
I heard nothing but good reports from runva and as I posted earlier I'm looking at the kingone which you will find through avenger Australian in Melbourne. Avenger is a Asian compmay making 4x4 accessories but to a stricter quality control.

I have a factory PTO winch which I fitted to my Y60, is at least 15 years old, and has been through the mill off road , mud etc and been used to erect steel sheds and other buildings. Is off the car at the moment having a bearing and cable change but what a great winch !!

Did not know patrols had a PTO option, maybe G60 but not GQ, there you go
Had one for tojo lying around here for years,No idea where it went

Yes there was an option for PTO winch for GQ, I know of a guy who has a new, never used one for sale.
