They look the same but the bloke with the beard seems to have a lapel pin as well.
Dad has stories of blokes doing this after the WWII, causing all sorts of shizen when the real blokes caught them out.

Excuse the naivety as I have never been a member of the forces and know nothing of medals........ Could this fella have been wearing deceased family members or close friends medals and if so is that allowed? Or has he actually claimed that they are his?

If worn on the right side of his chest he can wear his families/friends medals. Wearing on the left is medals earnt.
