The cars at wreckers are usually rolled or flood damaged vehicles and cars that have been wiped out on the rd and anyway they just scrap GQ bodies coz they're rusted out anyway.

So you just said that you need GU's to make GQ's tougher !!!!!!!
so obviously you are not going to run a td42 lmao

yes gu parts CAN make a GQ tougher although it isnt necessary, its just that a GU had to die to supply a gq that is still living.
think of it as organ donation.

as for rust I have seen some heavily rusted GU's it is not a problem with GQs only

    Thanks Kris!!

Only problem i can see with the long arm kit that i can think of is what affect in the long run does it have on the chassis?? Will it crack along the weld after a beating ? To get your tail shaft on that sharp angle under full flex doesn't that tube that runs across the chassis near the handbrake drum have to be cut?? Wouldn't you loose its integrity and possibly twist your chassis?? What affect does all that flex do to the canceling angles of the universal joints under full acceleration, wont they chop out or twist the tail shaft??

So you've got killer flex but just weakened the truck!! IMO

Spoken by a true gu owner.... Lmao

Don't forget the gq has stronger gearbox and earlier td42 silver top have stronger conrods.

At the end of the day so far in all of our meetups when we split up the group the gq's head that way and the gu owners head down into the valley for some scones and cream.

Except for Nisspat who buys a brand new patrol and takes it out like a paddock bomb...lol...respect!
