mmm, I have seen a GU rechassised on to a GQ chassis before...so mechanically there is nothing in it. Therefor, toughness is just a matter of perspective, and how hard one is ready to push it. Ive seen more people ready to give a GQ heaps than their nicer, plusher, more expensive GU... I guess oce the newer models filter thru and GUs become cheaper the balance may change. Sadly it seems any model with 4.2 diesel engine is becoming more expensive, even GQs. Mqs however have pretty much bottomed out in value and can only go up as a result of becoming a classic at 30 plus years.mmm concessional rego here we come!

right too the last of the 4.8 and 4.2 gu's. it all depends on which engine/gear box/diff combo yours has. I have the first of the 4.8 auto ti's and I love it just wish it had 4.11 diffs with the h260.
