Fitting the extra resistor increases line pressure in the transmission, the result being faster and firmer gearshifts. In some situations faster/firmer shifts may not be desirable, that's why the circuit shown in an earlier post has a switch to bypass the mod and return the transmission to normal.Originally Posted by Cadbury
