TD42 n/a "missing" ?

Any ideas on TD 42NA lagging and running rough above 2500 rpm and lots of white smoke at that point?
Runs and starts fine otherwise, had a fair bit of alge in the fuel filter but now at a loss.
No smoke at idle or to 2000 rpm
Help please

Check for a small gauze filter on the intake to the pump. You will have to remove the banjo bolt and use a small pick to get it out.

spot on ! The pump filter was totally choked. Back to its old self again. Thank you.
