and the military has scrambled to get into gear to carry out the orders if given. . . . .
Only one small issue. . . . . they are about as prepared to deliver a nuclear weapon as me. it will fall in the drink a few miles offshore and sink. DO'H!

Well I doubt the US would be firing first without sound reason.
My uneducated guess is that they are making the threat, then watching the rest of the world to see how they react. Then when they are really serious, they can preempt some actions the US etc takes.
A bit like when kids push their parents buttons to see how far they can go - where is the line.

In order to generate revenue for themselves, they rattle their sabres about going to war and to appease them the UN provides funding for food for the masses etc. Its a ploy they have used for years.
Remember too, the Korean war was never declared over, its just a cease fire......
We might see the North swallowed up by the South one day, depends on China. China doesnt want a war, they are winning the consumer war........much cheaper battle to be engaged in!
Correct me if I am wrong but the last time they agreed to destroy nuclear plants and cooling towers was to get international aid, are they going to cause the storm now and then defuse it in order to get more aid?
