However, radial arm bushes were replaced already- but not with genuine ones.
The non genuine bushes could be the problem, they arent always as good, could possibly be inferior products? they could be fine, but theres always that possiblity.

When i do my bushes im only going genuine.

I have not driven it in the rain. However, I did not notice the sound until after I went through the water. I'll try spraying the arms and see what happens

Sorry if its a stupid suggestion, but check your exhaust mounts. I had a similar noise in a similar location and it turned out to be a broken mount. When i turned a corner hard and went over pot holes (or cyclists) too fast it would knock around.

I think that noise is common in GQs i had the same thing in mine, it came and went as it pleased but didnt affect the driving at all.

I think I have traced the intermittant knocking sound to the hand brake. If it is wrenched on, it sometimes must be binding a little. After getting go juice, I pulled away from the bowser and turned to the right. The sound came back, so I pulled up and put the hand brake on. I then proceeded and the sound had gone. I went to a smooth back road, and rolled the Trol, slowly, in neutral and gently pulled the handbrake, and the sound came back. I then wrenched the brake on and off, and the sound has gone, for the moment.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

It might be worth consideration. However, when I first got the sound, I had traveled nearly two hours up the motorway, so I would find it hard to think it had anything to do with handbrake. What is strange, I went out the other week and I have not been able to get the sound occur again.

I used to get an annoying clicking sound, when in my case the left front PIECE OF SHITE auto locking hub would decide to turn it self on and off, the plate that holds it all together was stuffed.. it only used to do it when it got hot, eg 1-1.5 hours worth of highway drive time took me weeks to find it as it was intermittent..
I am spending my children's inheritance on my 92 GQ PATROL .. and by the time they get it, it will have way to many kilometers on the clock, and it wont be worth anything

Mine would clunk worse in the rain when it was wet. If I was you I'd give the bushes a squirt of water and go for a quick drive to see if it made anything worse. Or just go for a drive in the rain.
This has been driving me nuts and every time I mentioned it was worse when it was raining I was looked at with dull eyes....... I have 2 inch with castor correction on mine but told I dont need it for 2 inch lift.

I have another set of radius arms with good rubber in them but standard offset????
