Cheap pre paid mobile plans on Telstra network

These have only just come into the market and are on the Telstra 3G network . Not 4G but for those not needing super fast speeds will be brilliant and the coverage is best we can get in Australia.

I like the Kogan unlimited plan for 30 bucks for 30 days with 6g data!!!

Aldi is probably more suited for those who don't use the phone a lot and want a long expiry period

Both different to each other but give you some good talk/text/data plan options

    Aldi; https://www.aldimobile.com.au/plans?...FcgdpQodhw0AHg

    Kogan: http://www.kogan.com/au/mobile/?gcli...FYoipQodPD4A0A

I see these much better then any other competitor here in Australia.

    Enjoy

missed it by that much, I was forced to change as "three 333" would no longer exist,
so now on $60 plan with Vodafone. when I'm away anyone on telstra will get reception
but not vodafone. they should have automatic roaming in case of emergencies, ppl do
    fall off eskies.
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Bought an Aldi BAUHN Smartphone yesterday. Chucked it on the floor after hours of stuffing about trying to get it going. When it finally did work its signal strength was so p!ss poor that I could not get a connection in the family room where every phone we have ever owned, and every visitor's phone had no trouble connecting. Lucky it didn't break as it is going back tomorrow for a refund - or else!!

You may not have noticed but I am P!SSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Cheap pre paid mobile plans on Telstra network

There's no substitution to getting a well known brand when it comes to phones........... Service plans are another matter altogether

    Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....

I'll try to let you guys know how the Aldi one goes,

My daughter(12) just got her first mobile, prepaid through Telstra, and all she has been getting is text messages and phone calls from unhappy gumtree and ebay customers.

I am heading to the Telstra shop to get her a new number tomorrow but if we don't get any joy there, it will be off to Aldi.

Thanks for the heads up about this too Kris.

    Bill,

You shouldn't have any dramas mate Aldi has a pretty good returns policy.

Although it might not hurt to try getting a replacement, as you may have got the one dud one.

Clunks right though, getting a name brand can be the way to go, I am using the Telstra Frontier(ZTE T81) smart phone on account but it was bought as a prepaid($299). I got it as it has a direct aerial connection on the back of the phone and I work in some very mobile patchy areas.

    Good luck with it
