That is close enough, the picture is of "The Three Sisters of Aroona" which feature in a painting by Hans Heysen and can be seen from the old Aroona Homestead.

Thanks rusty-nail. It's good to know that others find the thread of interest even if not participating. I expect that participation will continue to rise & fall, but it's always good to have different folk putting up pics. We all live somewhere & most of us have a camera of some sort. A shot of Elizabeth St, Melbourne is just as relevant as one of the Birdsville Hotel dunny.

Ok here is one with what I reckon are some fairly obvious clues in the pic, so I expect it won't last long.

That's the one Bob. The advertising for the opals & the cutting machines, & the vent pipes sticking out of the ground from the underground residences are pretty unique.
