    Don't forget as well, that paint gradually fades over time and the paint code that you have on your Patrol will be for when the vehicle was new. What Nissan can't control is the rate of fade and other environmental conditions related to your vehicle, so the paint may be a very very close match but not exact.

    If you go to a specialist body shop supplier they should be able to, to use the Nissan paint code and using swatches match it to the exact amount of degradation in the colour. I had this exact process done for my Saab - the result was a perfect match in colour accounting for the environmental fading.
