Been advised to Re-torque head and put Genuine H/Gasket

I recently did a rebuilt on my motor and the its now heating up in long runs and not in short runs. There was no bubbles on radiator before but now when the radiator is topped up it starts throwing bubbles up and puts water into the reserve tank. but when certain amount of water goes off the radiator it stops throwing water into reserve tank and doesnt lose more water from radiator (just about 1L short of making radiator top up). I used a non-genuine head gasket during rebuild which i already had before rebuilt was done. Now my mechanic says to put a genuine head gasket in and will re-torque head. Any idea whats the torque of head bolts on TD42?? Another friend suggests me to use Chemweld to solve my problem...anyone used these before?? The Radiator shop guy told me that it can block my radiator..

Don't use chemiweld. If you plan on keeping the car do it properly. I used an aftermarket gasket first time 40,000 k later started leaking coolant out the side, fitted a genuine one, haven't looked back.

Your mechanic should be able to get head tensions very easily or google it and you will find.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Don't use chemiweld unless in the bush in an emergency to get you out.

Is the TD42 got a Turbo on it? Is it just getting hot on a long slog up a long hill? Or on the hwy driving after an hour and it just gets hot?

If its a long hill then maybe you have too much fuel and or not enough boost happening.

Have you got any after market gauges fitted?

EGT stays ok....boost abt 8psi. goes to 90-100degs when running with A/C and driving for like 20mins with bit of heavy right foot. now recently it has started to push water up the radiator when i try to top up the water.

Get new head bolts as well. Td42 head bolts are a torque turn setting. This is where you torque to a set figure then turn the Bol an extra 90 degrees or whatever the spec says. These types of bolts are a single use item.
