    Thumbs up

G'day you fellow Cape York tripping Trendsetters!

Folks, i have been asked is there a cut off time frame for the Cape trip. I have decided that you folks can vote on this matter. It does not really matter to me, however, i do need numbers for booking into the Big 4 caravan park at Port Douglas, Lions den camp ground area, Punsand bay Camping Resort, and both Elliot falls and Chilli beach camp ground areas.

The earlier i can book these areas the better chance of securing a camp spot.

At present i will only use those folks who are definitely confirmed that they are going, as a number figures to be used. Those that decide to be part of the trip after Feb 2013, will have to make there own bookings.

PS, Ye-Haa baby, EIGHT MONTHS AND COUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

    Regards,

    Paul (RLI)

Hi Paul - I think the cutoff should be Feb next year as you have indicated. Its hard enough booking a trip like this so I think that 6 months prior confirmation would help you out. I am definitely in for 4 people (one Patrol and camper). Also - happy to help out with some of the logistics if you need it.

    G'day Jas,

Thanks mate! A couple of lads from the Navara forum asked about a possible cut point. As previously stated I have decided that you folks can vote on this matter. The consensus so far is that everyone has indicated that they want a cut off time frame.

I agree with you, i think Feb 2013 is a perfect time frame. It is only the camp locations that i have indicated that need booking requirements, everywhere else is fine!

PS, Jas, the more hands the better i say, feel free to contribute in any area you see fit!

    Regards,

    Paul (RLI)

    G'day folks,

I am currently organising to book my Patrol into Diesel Central in Rockhampton for a dyno tune on the 2nd August 2013. This is on the way up to meeting you folks in Port Douglas on or around 3/4 August 2013. If there are any others out there that would like to get a dyno tune, please let me know and i will see if we can book the 2nd August just for our party.

Shawn Swaffield and the staff at Diesel Central are known as one of the best diesel tuners in the business.

    Regards,

    RLI

Nice RLI. Looking forward to it. I was thinking of creating a web-blog (to link to from here) for the trip and for the planning side as well. Got a couple of web-servers we can throw this on and synch it here so the forum gets all the pics as well! Thinking of getting the domain name www.travellingwilburys2013.com.au!
