If you ever wanted to know how engines work

    Hi All,

I know a lot on here will already know all this but I pointed a friend to these articles a while ago - before he read them he had no idea about how an internal combustion engine worked and even less idea about diesels. Might make interesting reading for some. Note - there are some errors in here but in general for those who wanted to know how engines work not a bad read:

    HOW CAR ENGINES WORK:
    http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine.htm

    HOW DIESEL ENGINES WORK:
    http://www.howstuffworks.com/diesel.htm

    HOW TURBOS WORK:
    http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

    Hope it helps out someone.

    Jas

Top stuff Jas. Thanks for the references. Mate, put me infront of a server, laptop, tablet etc and I can tear them down and put them back together again with my eyes shut and not have any screws left over. However, when it comes to mechanics, im a little lost and this will deffinately help.

    Thanks a lot.

    Cheers,

    Rob

WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.
