OK, Thank you for your research, Mick.
I think, reducer is not the best decision for me, as I often cross deep rivers here. I'll try to make headlight with HELLA 1AL 008 934-021 or 1AL 009 997-041, they are 24V, I suppose.
And distance in not a big problem - my Safari has some parts from Australia. )

    Hey Mick,

Can you supply better lighting for a 2012 Mazda 3 with H11 bulbs?

    Cheers Rodney

    Hi Rodney

If there the same light as the Mazda 3 2011 model then yes I can supply a full plug and play kit for them which replaces the halogen projectors with HID ones. It's not something I keep in stock but I can get them within about 7 to 10 days.

Your looking at about $350 for the complete kit plus the brackets, bolts etc to fit it. I can fit them to the lights if you choose for extra cost.

    Cheers Mick.

Mike, To be honest, I have know idea when it comes to Mazda, but I think they are the same.

Do you have any photos of the 2011 install?

When you say brackets and bolts is this for externally mounted hardware outside the light?

What is involved with removing the original projectors and installing the HID ones?

Now my wife has seen the photo of the Patrol with the blackened headlights and the blue devils eye (she would wan't the purple one).

Is this something you can do with the Mazda 3 headlights? and what would be the cost and turn around?

Feel free to PM me with the costs and details if you prefer.

    Cheers Rodney

I have no photos of an install as I haven't done one. I can mod any light though. I cant tell you whats involved as I haven't seen the insides of those lights. It's really only a matter of removing the lens and the rest is just removing projectors and bolting new ones in.

If you want devils eyes, blackening housing etc it can get tricky if you haven't touched a light before but the rest is straight forward. All the brakets and bolts etc is all for the internal parts of the lights.

So your looking at $350 for the kit, $50 for devils eyes and $250 if I fit the kit and blacken out the lights.

The turn around time on a detailed install where painting is involved is about 3 to 5 days. If you can get them to me on a friday I can usually get them sent on a monday or tuesday then a couple of days in the post. I would get all the parts in first, test everything and make sure it all works then I'd get you to send the lights.

    Cheers Mick.

Some pics of some of the retrofits I've done or some of my customers. As you can see patrols are only one of the many vehicles I do.

This is my patrol the first time I did it.

This is my lights with parkers and indicators fitted too. These look heaps better in reality.

    2006 Dodge Ram

Ford Ranger with lights blacked out.

GQ lights with the reflectors blacked out.

GQ with indicator around the projector.

A GU with parkers and green devils eyes installed.

Another GU only with the angel eyes reversed to give a different effect.

Bought a set of these off Mick many months ago. Never got round to putting some pics up so thought I'd pop some up.

The lights are fantastic, low beam has great cut off and really fills out the road. High beam gives off a heap of light would easily be better then halogen spotlights, haven't seen hid spotties but imagine it would be on par.

I bought em as DIY kit, got 55w ballast with 3 inch projector and osram bulbs. Install was relatively straight forward, anyone with a little bit of electrical knowledge would be fine.

All in all have been very happy with the lights after having them for well over 6 months. Would highly recommend them.

2012 GU8 Polar White Auto ST Patrol, Factory Bull bar, Scangauge 2, EGR blanked, Milford cargo barrier, Outback ideas recovery points, Micks retrofit HID 3 inch projectors with Osram bulbs and 55w ballasts, GME TXE3420, Sidewinder dual battery with monitor, Windcheetah 2.0m alloy rack, Suspension Stuff 2" Flexy lift with SS Monotubes, MT ATZ 4 ribs 265/75R16 on black Dynamic rims, Custom rear draws with fridge slide.

Thanks for the rap and pics mate and I'm glad your happy with them and they look good with those shrouds. Since you have bought the kit I've had a lot of feedback on the instructions which have come a long way since you recieved yours. I think from memory you might have been one of the guys who helped there too.

I've also made the looms totally plug and play now. The only other thing which I've got to add to future instructions is to smear a little bit of sealer or sikaflex around the HID control module as a few guys have filled them with water when washing there engines.

    Cheers Mick.

Some pics of a new Hilux which has the Stanley projectors and blackened out reflectors. This is one of the neatest ones I've seen. He did this one himself and took hs tme and had it done in a day. The customer said they are even better then his Wifes factory Subaru HID projectors and the Subaru has pretty nice lights from factory.

    Cheers Mick.
