Are you only running thermos or thermos as well as oe fan, not sure of model but you should be running twin ea falcon fans.pulling
if you have fans both sides of the radiator your looking for trouble, no, muck in a cooling system. make sure your radiator cap is correct
type and new belts are in good nick and your thermostat is new and Oe Just doesn't sound like all the boxes are ticked, Things like is thermos fan working,
X 2 with boots check water pump cheap to replace.. but sounds like fan not cooling enough allowin water to not recover enough

Bog holes could have stuffed your radiator as well.

Make sure that your radiator isn't blocked. I've just gone to hell and back with a dealership who couldn't diagnose a blocked radiator. They flushed it, pressure flushed it and still came up with the excuse that it was overheating because the driving lights were "blocking the airflow". Took it to a radiator repair mate who felt the radiator, said "she's blocked, mate", ripped it out, and lo and behold - 80% of radiator blocked. He cored it (no amount of flushing was ever going to loosen the sh*t that came out) and I haven't had an ounce of trouble since. And the Patrol is only just over 2 years old.

Mrs Goat is just fine, thanks, threedogs. And the Patrol is going like a charm. Hopefully the extra warranty given by Nissan and the dealer won't have to be used!
