    On the way home from camping with fully Loaded car, fully loaded roof bag and fully loaded boat, temps peaked on the largest hill climb at 600C at 15 psi

    Is this temperature limit of 500 - 550 the maximum for ALL engine types?

    No deffinately not...

    This all depends on the metals used in the engine construction, the bigger all cast engines I used to work on sat around 660degree's cent, 24hrs a day 365 days a year, we only ever stopped them for repairs or servicing.
    1998 GU - RD28t > TJM Bull Bar > Dual Batteries > Boost & EGT Gauges > Turbo Timer > Minor Engine Mod's.
