Running our business requires filling in all sorts of forms giving details that make me question privacy or unrestricted use of the contacts in particular, then theres advertising, invoicing, and general promotion of what we do.
Thats just work not pleasure activities and family stuff.
Some one some where must be collating all of these details and using them or on selling.
We have no chance of fighting it.
It would be so easy to ID steal me as what is out there would be very convincing if all put togeather.
So SMS and E-mails are easy targets and if you are not carefull it could lead to all sorts of strife.
Then theres Telemarketers, but thats been discussed on another thread somewhere here.

I've avoided SMS so far but getting plenty of emails that the spam filter doesn't detect.
We rent out a holiday house at Apollo Bay and the latest one is an agent acting for some 'clients'.
They never query the 'terms and conditions' and always offer to pay including 'travel insurance' direct to me. As they don't have a banking relationship with their 'client' could I please refund the 'travel insurance' direct to them.
Always overseas 'clients' and the poor spelling is a dead give away. Occasionally I play them along for a while, you would be amazed what they agree to.
