Hmmm filled up at Malborough (caltex)yesterday and just had my water in filter warning light come on .
This is what I got out of it. It's a 600ml bottle so around of 120-150ml of water!!!!

Hope I got all of it. Didn't realise they hold that much!!!

Just drained another 150 ml of water out of the filter!!! Not happy.

I rang them today and they offered me a free tank of fuel hahaha

Anyway I just sent an email to Caltex Australia with all the details so at least the complaint is on file just in case any water gets through to the pump

Only got a quarter tank left so I'll just use it up and drain the filter every 50ks or so....not happy Jan!!!

Yeah that bottled stuff is dearer than diesel, I'm glad only GU's run on it. I couldn't afford it.

Mate, only 5 weeks left and I'm having nightmares about going back to work...haha

Ok back in range again so a quick update .
Stayed at Causway Lake near Yeppoon for a few days after the fuel drama.

Finally got to see the cassowary after last few weeks trying.... Haha


We visited the Koorana crock farm which was a real eye opener and we learned heaps about crocks and their behaviour... Highly recommend !!



They tried to catch one for us but the two catchers were pretty hopeless and missed each time....spewing!



We all got to hold a little crock as well


We then headed down to Gladstone for the day to have a look around . Not much there but we went to the smelter where they process most of the bauxite which we saw at Weipa so bit more education for the kids

Few facts


We camped at Barmundoo on lake awoonga for a few more days. Was a great spot, right on the lake.

No barra but plenty of red claw
Boys had a ball swimming and just being boys..

The whole trip the boys been collecting weird and wonderfully things.
We now have 5 frogs, 1 gecko, 2 stick insects, 2 shrimp and 1 red law as pets
Nearly had a lizard but he got away.
Oh yah and a dog!

We left Barmandoo this morning and went up through the ranges at Bulburin National Park....bloody steep in some spots....haha

Anyway we're now at Seventeen Seventy for a few days were we jump on a cruise to Lady Musgrave island
