    Lift advice.

    Hey guys/gals,
I was wondering if i've got this right...I plan on lifting my stock RX up,now ive had a looksie on the forums and if i understand right,i can put 2" flexi coils and then go upto a 6" shock, and should i stay the same size shocks all round?
Also i was wondering if anyone had a opinion on Ironman coils and shocks.
I do alot of beach driving and plan on doing more bush off-roading once ive lifted her,so i assume that foam cell shocks would be the prefered choice.
Finally,i need to replace my steering Relay rod/Draglink,what would be the appropriate choice, taking into account the raising?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated...

Iron man are a price point package and would not make my list on a bad day sorry mate. Old Man Emu all the way if your funds will cover it.

I would not go a 6inch shock on a 2 inch spring either! Not sure where your read that but I think that would end badly! You would find that the closed length on a 6inch lifted shock is about the resting length of a 2 inch spring and you will end up having zero compression on the spring left. Plenty of droop but bouncing off the bump stop in the shock all day until you destroyed it. Seems pointless regardless. If you want a decent lift then go bigger or except the limitations of a 2 inch lift.

A decent 2 inch lift will see you do just about anything you might choose to point your Pateol at mate. Enjoy I and buy the best kit you can afford

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

You should be able to get an OME price from your local ARB or OME stockist.

There are a couple of ARB stores over here, one in Canning Vale, and one in Osbourne Park.(Ithink) The other option would be Makin Tracks in Midland, they are an OME stockist and ARB distributor. I'm not too sure if anyone else carries OME, but there are plenty of 4x4 and off road specialists over here mate, just grab the yellow pages or Google it.

A 2 inch flexi-coil can be used with about a 4" shock without sacrificing compressed size much. A minor change to the bump stops is all that is required. I've got this set up & haven't managed to spend my time bouncing off bump stops
