I remember sitting and filling in the outlined white letterE with a paint pen on a friends charger on all 4 tyres years ago approx 1988.

Went to pick up the car and white writing was on the outside. Not really a big deal, and to be fair I said "I dunno, inside I guess, whatever's easier for you." still looks good
