Panhard bushes have nothing to do with bearings

    Hi 89GQ.
I have a 94 GQ that got the wobbles coming through the steering wheel in between 80km and 100km/hr
It drove me nuts looking for the cause. In the end I found that I had a BFG - AT with the side wall steel had separated within the rubber wall of the tyre. It was on the inside wall and imposable to notice. My tyres were all in good nik at about 80% worn.
Just a suggestion... if you still haven't found your cause for the wobbles.

Good stuff mate - most front end wobbles that just 'appear' can usually be put down to worn or perished rubbers and boots. Not all of course, but a sure fire indication to have them checked!! As per mine the other day - the bush on the steering damper was gooonnnnneeee ... And it was p!ssing oil, but the wobbles only came in when the rubber starting peeling apart.

I had major wobbles in the front after being bogged a few inches of mud on the inside of the rim and i couldn't go over 60 k's without it feeling like it was going to fall apart.
Thankfully a few deep holes and some water crossings later it must have cleaned it out and was all good again lol.
