It took it as a calculated risk and was prepared for the trouble if it ever came. Never worried about it that much because until recent years most police didnt have 4wds on their radar.
I actually ran my GQ around for 9 years on a 4" lift and 35's and never had it defected, but it was neater looking than a lot of other modified 4wds and never had the look at me roof lights, bonnet scoops, fat stainless snorkle etc that seem to be the cop bait these days.
Would I do it again, yep. If they are going to get all shirty about 2" lifts and 33's which would be my minimum modifications for any 4wd I own then I may as well go to the next step again.
But again it would be modified tastefully, kept clean and tidy and I would not attract attention with my driving style/speeding etc. And lastly keep my fingers crossed lol.
I wouldnt bother if I was on my P plates he he.
