    Cheers for the comments peoples..

OK now I know Im probably not supose to put a 35 on the rear door but I weighed my 33 and my 35 and there was only 4kg difference ( 38kg-42kg ). Now I have seen a lot of Patrols with 33 and a highlift jack on rear door together and thats seem acceptable and thats gota weigh heeps more than a 35.Ill look at making a swing away carrier but till then this is how Im rolling, plus I just got too much stuf on my plate at the moment and I have to have a spare somewhere.

So with new rear bar the 35 would not fit on as it was to low hense the need to fab a custom wheel carrier 50mm higher.

The light bracket bolts on and it all needs painting and wireing up properly now.

Oh and you can see the thingy that you sit the wheel on when your putting the wheel up I made that bit out of stianless steel thinking its going to get the paint scratched of it during use.

have you noticed that the tyre gets in the way of the important bits that need to be lit (as in closer to the back of the car) i build somthing similar, but could never get the right angle to give me proper vision with those lights, always felt i needed more height, such as coming down from roof racks etc?
I got red dust in my veins.

Thats right the tyre does cast a shadow on the ground behind the drivers side wheel area, I was going to put the lights into the rear bar but figured they would get cacked in mud and be usless. I havent had the chance to try them out yet I might try a smaller light under the tyre somewhere if needed.
I have noticed though that the lights shine on top of the tyre which is quiet glary to look out the back window not that I can see out of it anyway.
I am on the hunt for a reversing camera I like the ones that have 2 cameras .

    Hey all,

Today I finished replacing the flairs with 6mm rubber strip.Heading up to the lakes this weekend was hoping to play in some snow but its not looking like we will get any.

    Flairs.

    Having a little stretch.

Got the Pajero to do some 4WDing but quickly relized it wasnt going to cut it hence the the Patrol stands strong and superior.

The rubber was 100mm wide and I left 75mm sticking out so was able to screw 25mm threw the lip that is folded in around the guard.
I used galv self tapping screws with a washer type flange around the top.

Small update, changed the diffs and gearbox oils today.
It was going fairly cleanly untill I dropped the ratchet into the old oil when putting the plug back in and it splashed everywhere.
