the dreade dual mass clutch...

hi again all, just recently i started haveing the intermittent rough idle and sounding like a chaff cutter when turning the truck off. been told its the dual mass clutch so am wanting thoughts on the replacements available. its a guII 2ooo model with the zd30 engine. any thoughts greatly apprcieated

I would go to a single mass Safari Tough by exedy or similar but you'll need to get a kit, flywheel and clutch. There's some on ebay mate

x2 but prepare yourself for the cost the clutch itself isnt to bad its the flywheel that bumps the cost up.

Good point, maybe find the flywheel at the wreckers and just get a new clutch

Hey Nisshead How did you go with the Cluth+flywheel? you end up going for Heavy Duty Cluth and a Dual Mass fly wheel? new or used/reconditioned?

To tell you the truth i didnt change my clutch and its still going strong even with all the towing. Ill see how many km's i get out of it and if its low ill change to single mass.
